Summer Skincare Routine and Tips for Sun Protection

Well, hello there! Long time no see, I hope some of my blogs might have helped your skin lately.
I believe in going natural on the skin, because it gives your skin eternal benefits. You won’t need full makeup and coverage every time, and moreover it becomes a psychological thing too, because whenever you take that mask off you don’t feel comfortable in your own skin.

The idea is to build a routine that feels good, not forced. Think of it like checking in with your skin, not fixing it.

Now, before I share some of my favorite DIY mixes, let me quickly say this, your skin goes through a lot more than we think. From harsh sunlight to pollution and even the makeup we wear daily, everything leaves a mark.

That’s why I love creating simple at-home masks that focus on detanning and deep hydration. These not only help remove dullness but also bring back that natural freshness your skin had before the sun got too clingy. Along with that, staying hydrated and understanding when and how to protect your skin—especially with the right kind of SPF—is what really helps maintain that glow for longer.

Because trust me, no scrub or serum will work its magic unless your skin is protected and moisturized from the inside and out.

1. Hydrate Yourself

Water, the thing that people don’t take seriously.  Don’t google out the amount of water to be consumed per day, rather than that drink as much as you can. It is a part of skincare routine.
Just imagine your skin as a cotton pad which is set out in sun for long hours, and you need to keep it cool and wet.  So, you’ll water it. As simple as this our body needs plenty of water in summers.  Especially when you’re going out.

♪♪So baby you should go and hydrate yourself♪♪

2. Swore by Sunscreens

If you are not a sunscreen junkie, then I guess you’ve taken a wrong road to skincare routine. Sunscreen is a must be added to your skincare routine.

Carry sunscreen, apply sunscreen, make sunscreen your best friend forever and after.
Sunscreen acts as a shield which reflects the UV Radiations which comes down to your face. UV Radiations can be UVA and UVB rays, so, make sure you get a broad-spectrum sunscreen which stops UVA and UVB both. And if you have a sensitive skin make sure you use a paraben free sunscreen, which are pretty easily available in the shops.

3. Make De-tan Masks

De-tan masks are best way to remove tan. They work miraculously on the skin and will rip off the tiny facial hair as well. It acts as an essential part in your skincare routine.

For mask Ingredients you would need:

  • Fuller Earth Powder (Multani Miti)
  • Yogurt
  • Sandalwood powder
  • Rose water
  • Turmeric

4. Dress like a Spy
We all have noticed a skin tone difference between the unexposed and exposed area of skin, that’s just because we all have protected our thighs or arms or whatever by a layer.
So do put on a protective clothing such as cap, scarves, mask, sunglasses or take an umbrella if you want.

5. Right Diet

Having a diet rich in vitamins and minerals is a must for summers. Even if you don’t drink right eat right. Binge on colorful vegetables and fruits because it’s said a colorful bowl of food is the healthiest. And all the vegetables must have; there is no specific vegetable which is good or bad. Eat all of them but do eat CUCUMBERS. Eat fruits with more water content as.

• Grapes
• Strawberries
• Oranges
• Pineapple
• Mangoes
• Kiwi
• Banana
• Melons
• Berries
