Reduced skin circulation
Our skin and hair health demands good circulation of nutrition, minerals and oxygen.
Smoking cigarettes can cause accumulation of toxic substances in the blood stream. And in a protective mechanism the response will be our blood vessels are get shrunken. Due to the shrinkage of blood vessels, the blood flow around the skin and hair follicles is reduced to half. Hence, smoking cigarettes can cause hair fall and thinning of hair. Most common hair problem in smokers is receding hairline.

Reduced Immunity
Smoking can also reduce the immunity in many ways. Taking a healthy diet full of nutrients does not compensate the effects of smoking.
Smoking delays the healing process of our body. The healing process of overall body including scar healing, wound healing, ligaments healing, acne clearing and infections. Any bacterial or fungal infection of the scalp is more common as the fighting mechanism of the body will lag.

Damage to DNA
In smokers the DNA is affected badly. The hair follicles are damaged and also the skin starts to lose the collagen. Smoker’s skin is dull and acne prone.

Cigarette smoke
The environmental pollution is harmful for the skin and hair. And cigarette smoke is worst of them all.
Cigarette smoke is heavy smoke which not only settles in your lungs but also layers itself on the top of your skin and hair. The toxic cigarette smoke settles on your skin and hair, damaging the cells topically, and causes balding.

Premature aging
There is a great difference between skin before smoking and after smoking.
Smoking can lead to hair graying before the age of 35. Smoking damages the skin and leads to premature aging. Premature aging process includes fine line formation, blemishes, sagging of muscles of the mouth and eyes.

Smoking is inversely proportional to the beard growth as smoking causes damage to facial hairs.
