Avoid These 3 Food for Zero Acne

Three Food Items to Avoid for Zero Acne

If you have tried everything and still are not able to get rid of the active acne, then try to avoid these three foods and have that beautifully acne-free skin.

CHEESE

Cheese is a very potent food that can increase your chances of developing acne. Cheese in pizza, pasta, sandwiches, or with wines can cause acne overnight.

The main reason cheese can lead to acne is because of hormonal fluctuations, lactose intolerance, and genetics. When we eat cheese, the sebum or oil production gets affected by hormones like androgens and insulin, which are found in milk and other animal products. Consuming dairy products like milk, cheese, and yogurt may affect hormones in the body and mirror the hormones that prompt oil production in the skin, triggering the development of acne.

Don’t cut cheese completely out of your diet if you have a taste for it. Rather, try to moderate the consumption of cheese. Have it once a week or, if possible, in a month. Or simply replace cheese with tofu, paneer, almond milk ricotta cheese, or zucchini cheese.

WHITE RICE

We cannot say no to rice. Of course, it’s going to be a part of our meal at least once a day. But you should know that white rice is a high-glycemic food, along with starch and carbohydrates. A small bowl of rice is okay, but when consumed in higher volumes, the sugar runs down in our bloodstream and contributes to the increased glycemic index, leaving our skin inflamed and acne prone.

You can always find a better alternative — replace white rice with brown rice. Brown rice has a low glycemic index and higher nutritional value. It does not contribute to active acne and is one of the best alternatives that can be used to reduce acne-prone skin.

DAIRY

You must be thinking that I am getting a little overboard by telling you to avoid food for acne that you are consuming on a daily basis. But yes, it is a harsh truth, and most of the renowned dermatologists also recommend these pro tips and tricks for acne.

Dairy causes acne no matter what you say — it has androgens, which are quite common in animal milk. Androgens fluctuate our hormonal levels and cause acne.

Alternatives to milk are quite readily available in the market, which is plant-based milk. Almond milk, soy milk, and oat milk are three best options if you want to cut dairy products to reduce acne.

Plant-based milk is considerably low in calories and fat, also packed with nutrition. And your gut will not trouble you afterwards.

If you cannot cut on these three foods, add this one holy grail habit which will keep you fit — also, your skin will thank you.
