Imagine you’re talking to someone, and they keep in looking at your nose or keep looking away or some even ask you about them.
Blackheads are small bumps that appear on your face especially on nose. These bumps are rimmed by the pore walls and form a black or sometimes brownish plug or clog.
Where can blackhead form?
- Nose
- Back
- Forehead
- Beneath the Chin
- Chest
- Neck
- Shoulder
Pores like we all know are linked with Sebaceous Glands. These are linked with each pore and produces sebum, which keeps our skin hydrated, soft and supple. Sometimes these pores work in an altered manner and produce more oil than required. This oil gets trapped inside the pore and appears like a bump, which is known as Comedo. Sometimes, comedo is white in color when a thin film of skin is over it. The oil is trapped inside the comedo, this is known as a Whitehead. But in cases when the film of skin is not there, the comedo is exposed to air, pollution, dirt, sun rays and surface bacteria of skin.
Causes Behind Blackheads:
Blackheads are primarily caused by an increased production of oil in the skin, which can clog pores when mixed with dead skin cells that do not shed properly. Hormonal imbalance, especially during puberty, menstruation, or the use of birth control pills, can also lead to higher oil secretion, making the skin more prone to blackheads.
Now as we now know the cause, I guess it’s pretty clear what would be the treatment or cure for blackheads.
Treatment
The products you can use.
So let me tell you this straight, “your skin is already producing ample amount of oil do not use products which will increase your skin oil production.”
1. Use oil free products, from sunscreen to toners.
Everything you use should be oil free.
Your skin is already producing a lot of oil. So don’t add up to it or else you’ll wind up having acne and redness over your nose and cheek.
When you realize that your blackheads are gone and you can feel your skin is getting dry switch to aloe vera gel and then slowly to your basic products.
2. Do use SCRUBS
Use scrubs, but the problem is nowadays scrubs are with liquid/creamy base.
So, if you use such products which have creamy base the outcomes will be slow and trust me, they will definitely take time.
Use dry scrubs and go for natural products so that it won’t cause irritation and acne while application.
3. Blackhead Extractor Tool
Use these steel rimmed tools for removing blackheads from the skin.
Removing is really easy just put the rim of the tool around your blackhead.
Do Clean with alcohol swabs.
You can’t really rely on these if you can’t take after care, because honey you need to clean them with care. Any single tiny bit of your blackhead on it can cause acne if you use it next time.
After Care Routine
You can always use Homemade scrubs which are easy to make and more effective in acne and blackhead removal.
The Walnut scrub

For this scrub you will need walnut, you can eat the nut and use the rest of it as a scrub.
Grind 3-4 shells
Add 1 cup of Gram flour (as base)
And store it in a jar and use every day.
Don’t rub roughly because there are high chances of getting micro-tears in your skin which is not good.
Apply hot green tea bags.
Put hot tea bags over your blackhead area. This will loosen up the pores, after this you can use scrubs and charcoal masks.

Rub lemon

Rubbing lemon in many cases comes handy as it has low pH and limits the oil/sebum production on the skin.
This will reduce the redness and chances of acne on the skin.
